Thassos' beaches are among the most beautiful in the country, with crystal-clear waters and stunning natural landscapes. Livadi is one of these, a secluded bay with emerald waters located on the south-eastern tip of the island.
The beach is 12 km from Potos and 39 km from Limenas, and it's absolutely stunning, with wild beauty and tranquillity. There's a monastery there too, the Monastery of Archangel Michael, and the landscape around it is really unique, with tall mountains, pine trees, olive groves and all that rugged terrain, so it's a really special place.
The beach itself is great for swimming, with pebbles and really clear water, and there are umbrellas, sunbeds and a little café as well, even though it's really remote. In the same bay as Livadi is the fully organised beach of Arsanas, which you can also reach by swimming.
Although you have to navigate an unpaved road approximately 400 metres long to get to the beach, the refreshing dive into this watery oasis of Thassos more than compensates for the effort.
