Falakro Mountain, with its revamped ski centre, stands out as the premier tourist destination in the Drama prefecture and the broader Eastern Macedonia and Thrace region. It offers a fantastic combination of skiing slopes for both leisure and sport, along with endurance and hiking trails, including the E6 mountaineering path. The area is blessed with excellent snow conditions, stunning views, plenty of sunshine, and easy access plus comfortable parking. Getting there is very easy, thanks to a well-maintained and widened paved road network equipped with safety barriers. The parking area, designed as a circular road at the base of the ski area, offers direct access to the slopes and lifts, including a four-seat overhead chairlift and several sliding lifts, accommodating up to 1,000 cars.

 

Within the ski resort, you'll find:

- 3 baby lifts making it family-friendly

All of this services over 20 ski slopes stretching more than 20 km in total.

 

Additionally, the resort features:

 

- A snowmobile slope

- An organized medical centre complete with a doctor and ambulance for emergencies

- 3 cosy chalets, with two at the base of the ski resort and one perched at the finish line with breathtaking views at an altitude of 2,110 meters.

 

One of the chalets at the base houses a restaurant that can seat up to 80 guests. Visitors can also explore shops that sell and rent ski equipment, along with stores offering clothing and local crafts. There are ski schools available for those looking to improve their skills.

 

For winter camping enthusiasts, there’s space for 40 caravans. Plus, hotels and accommodations are easily found in nearby villages like Volakas, Granitis, and Nevrokopi, as well as in the lively city of Drama, known for its vibrant nightlife.
