Thisavros Lake, also known as Treasure Lake, is an artificial lake created by the construction of a dam on the Nestos River. The Thisavros hydroelectric power plant has three units that together provide a total capacity of 384 MW. The lake itself reaches a maximum depth of 147 meters and stretches 32 kilometres in length, with widths that vary from 320 to 2,700 meters.
